The snows of Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline, form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya’s most spectacular displays of wildlife – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and hosts of plains’ game, creating Kenya’s most sought after photographer’s paradise
This is Maasai country, a proud nomadic people, who have lived in harmony with nature for centuries.
Game viewing is an adventure in this park, with lion, cheetah and buffalo almost an assured sight and hosts of antelope, zebra and other small creatures of the wild. Bird life is also abundant.
But the most impressive inhabitants of this arid landscape are the elephants, moving in large columns in their daily peregrination to the water.
1-night Safari Itinerary
Depart Nairobi at 0800 Hrs and arrive at the park with a short game drive, proceeding to your lodge for check-in and lunch.
Enjoy an afternoon siesta then proceed for the evening game drives Mount Kilimanjaro offers scenic backgrounds for photography .
Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, Buffalo can be seen at the swamp area.
Dinner and overnight at lodge.
Early morning game drive and return to your lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast check out with packed lunch for more game drive.
The Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.
Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.
Game drive until around 12hrs lunch time. Afterwards check out of the park then drive to Nairobi a less 5-hour drive to Nairobi
Why You’ll Love This Trip…
The holiday was beautiful and the park was green with grass and water. We spotted lots of animals, and they weren’t shy of our presence so we were able to get close and capture beautiful photos. We got a very nice view of Mount Kilimanjaro as well.
